We use top-grain leather on this sofa set. This includes the outer layer of the hide, which has finer and more densely packed fibers. This gives the leather strength and durability. It also contains some of the more fibrous underlayers, known as the corium. Our top-grain leather is treated to obtain a more uniform appearance.
